Hanoi Street Food Tour.. and the meaning of ‘sticky rice!’

Last night we took a walking tour in the old quarter streets of Hanoi.

Visiting different authentic street food vendors was challenging as we criss crossed streets on foot.

There are literally thousands of motor bikes here that have no loyalty to the official rules of the road. The riders and often the entire family ride together with face masks and very limited headwear for protection.

Mia, our 21 year old Vietnamese guide, tells us when she shouts ‘sticky rice’ we literally stick together to cross the road as the motorbikes wind themselves expertly around you as you move from one side of the street to other.
