Communism is working .. it just doesn’t feel like it

In Hanoi stands an impressive mausoleum overlooking a huge parade ground. The smart soldiers guard the resting place of the father of Vietnam, Ho Chi Min.

This impressive, quiet and modest man is revered by the Vietnamese people. He worked for all the people to gain independence from the French.

Despite a presidential palace being built for him, he chose a simple life living in a small two roomed house in its grounds. Today the palace is used only for state occasions.

Not everyone is happy with the government… but by contrast the country runs a capitalist free market.

The average wages are $300 a month and most of the people smile and look happy…. but then that is only the ones you see.
