Galpón 22 Restaurant, Estepona – Flavours worth stopping for

Estepona is located on the South coast of Spain between Malaga and Gibraltar.

Our visit to this coastal holiday resort found us wondering the quaint back streets.

Every few metres another restaurant proudly presents its menu. Some are busy and some sadly empty.

But one restaurant stood out. It was efficiently busy, but it was caring not pressurised.

This is Galpòn 22.

Food looked appetising as it was served by the staff.

The tables looked clean, seats comfy and spaced to allow privacy and an intimate dinner.

The menu is varied and offers an Argentinian inspired choice of dishes.

Alex was welcoming, looked at us whilst he spoke and made friendly recommendations.

I bet one day this place will be his!

The food was excellent!

We loved the Burrata and Avocado starter with salad, pine nuts and balsamic vinegar.. enough for two.

The rib eye steak came with a chimichurri sauce, potatoes and we had additional veg.

The slow cooked lamb looked as if would melt away from the bone and came with a creamy mash potato and shared the additional veg.

This place is welcoming, efficient and good value.

I would have to recommend it as to say otherwise would be to not share our favourite culinary stop in Estepona.

Check it out when you’re next in the area.
