Coach A – Virgin Train to London – 7 good reasons to travel First Class.

Well done #VirginTrains for providing me with a budget ticket for my wife and I for around £58 return using our two together card.

You rewarded us with Coach A which would have been great except that you couldn’t describe this as a quiet coach as there were so many announcements made between Manchester and London.

The intimacy verged on being claustrophobic and the one plug in the carriage all made you realise why the little extra cost for first class was worth the upgrade when off peak.

As we arrived at Euston you brought the message home as we stepped off the train in the rain as our carriage sadly being the last one just didn’t quite fit under the station platform roof.

But that’s not all, being at the back of the train we were able to appreciate the shear length of this magnificent Pendolino as we walked past all the carriages.

The front two of course being the first class coaches right next to the platform exit.

I guess the first class passengers got to London first!

The good news is that on the way back to Manchester I’ll be at the front of the train!

Any cheaper and we would have been pushing the train from behind!
