To be honest having tried to find somewhere to have lunch in the Joodaan area of Amsterdam proved more difficult that I expected.
The weather was cold, wet and windy as we walked around looking for somewhere to get a quick bite to eat, but everywhere was full! Waiting times appeared to be in excess of 30-40 minutes.
So we walked on a little further and came across this delightful bakery called Vlaamsch Broodhuys.
It turns out that this is part of a chain and I can tell you that it feels really clean, home cooked and perfect for a quick lunch or snack.
All the food was fresh and tasty.
The presentation, flavour, service and value for money were spot on too.
So when you’re next in Amsterdam look out for this really cool bakery chain, you’ll not be disappointed.

Once we’d finished lunch we jumped on the tram using our I amsterdam city card.
