We arrived in the La Fortuna area located at the foot of Arenal, a perfect shaped conical volcano.
Built on a relatively small plot amongst tropical vegetation, the Royal Corin greets you with a professional, homely and welcoming feel.
The staff here are just wonderful. They always greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain with a spectacular view of the top of the volcano, shrouded in mist that rarely clears.
The sounds of the birds, insects and other wildlife are all around you.
Our room was located on the 2nd floor, but referred to as the 3rd floor, because ground is classed as level 1.
We had a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the spa pools, bar and rest areas.
The food was fabulous and creative with portions large enough to serve two. There was a restaurant located on the ground floor used for breakfast and a roof top restaurant that was romantic and well designed.
There was a stunning spa too that sadly we didn’t take advantage of, but it looked incredibly inviting.
Overall I loved this hotel, it’s location and staff. It proved to be a perfect stop on our trip for 4 nights to explore and relax at the same time.
