Porto in Portugal has a lot to offer for a city break and choosing the right location could be a challenge given there is so much here to see and do.
But we booked yet another Porto Bay Hotel, our third in as a many years.
We stayed in a lovely boutique hotel called the Porto Bay Teatro, located in the heart of the city and within walking distance of most attractions, restaurants and shops.
The hotel decor and rooms were in quiet neutral tones of beige and browns making this accommodation perfect for those looking for quality without the noise.

The staff here were all delightful and should be commended in their can do, no nonsense approach.
The reception desk is nothing more than a desk at sitting height located at the opposite end to the carefully crafted entrance hidden behind what looks like a metal calligraphy laden theatre door.
I loved this hotel and would not hesitate to return. The breakfasts, the rooms and people just add to the perfect location. You can book it too, by visiting their website here.
