In the middle of Mai Chau Valley stand a number of hotels.. they all have phenomenal views and offer warm Vietnamese accommodation.
Our hotel is no different, serviced by staff that are ‘white Thai’ and comforts that are totally acceptable for the two night stay we had planned.
The owner/manager ‘John’ offered us free bicycles when we arrived, but my wife was struggling .. solution? He got Zan his bellboy to ride with us using a motorbike with my wife as pillion passenger.
After 8km of relatively flat terrain weaving through the minority villages we arrived back.. my wife quite refreshed and me .. well let’s say I’ve not ridden a bike for 20 years.
The room with a view that we have is on the top floor of this three storey hotel. It offers a good clean room, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Not too impressed with the fine shower .. kind of brings new meaning to water saving.
Overall this place is worthy of 5/5 on TripAdvisor but don’t expect 5 star.
