I thought this year I would try my hand at growing Beef Tomatoes, Mint, Strawberries, Lola Ross and Picnic Cucumbers.
I bought compost and planted everything outside.
New Bank Garden Centre where I purchased these plants advised slug pellets used sparingly around the lettuce which should be spaced about 20cm apart. On day 2, I noticed the pellets had stopped a couple of small slugs.
Apparently the reuse of old compost that was left in the container I used previously is no longer good for the Beef tomatoes… and so I was advised it should be tipped onto the soil and fresh used.
So I planted everything very carefully, watered all the plants daily and after 5 days everything is still alive!
Check back soon to see how I’m getting on!
