So we drive from North London to Watford and enter an industrial park full of small business units.
My daughter assured me that she’s been here before, with our grandson!
So you can be forgiven for imagining a beautiful business park, with tree lined boulevards, shopping, exclusive and trendy, and for good measure an exceptional bakery come rustic dining serving home cooked food.
Dream on..
This is a very low tech business park, thriving with trade, industrial in its looks and allowing the wheels of industry to get on with it does best.
So to come across a trendy coffee shop for brunch called Flourish Craft Bakery was a surprise.
The coffee shop is unpretentious, simple tables and seating and yet homely. Behind the scenes you can see the bakery staff busy in their productive rolls, whilst through the glass windows they watch as home cooked food is served to clientele that queue up to have their orders taken.
The food here is good … really good. Cooked with care, presented with flare and offering variety with passion.
We had hallumi, Avocado and poached eggs on brioche.
We also tried the pastrami toasted sandwich, filled with pickled cucumber and plenty of flavour.
This is a great coffee shop well deserving of praise.
Take a ride out to Flourish, you’ll not be disappointed.
