So this may seem confusing .. it was to us.. you see we stayed initially in Hang Trong Street our first two nights in Hanoi.
The room was adequate I guess but the headboard and lamp shades were stained so I commented to our Rep.
Before we even completed the second night they wanted to move us to another one of their hotels.
We declined because we were going to Mai Chau and would be back in Hanoi so the change then would be fine.
They sent up cake and roses by way of an apology and told us we would be moved to Hang Gai Street to a suite for our last night in Hanoi.
All very nice and unexpected .. our driver pulled up on the opposite side of the road and a porter took our cases, expertly navigating between hundreds of motorbikes as we all crossed the road.
Our guide came into the changed hotel to check us in.. except they weren’t expecting us!
On further checks they discovered that we should be at the other Hang Gai hotel just down the road. Of course!
Anyway porter, bags, Adele, guide and I navigated nimbly between pedestrians, bikes and cars to the other hotel.
We checked in and a porter took us to our room … we were in for a major surprise… and so was the middle aged naked German woman in our bed!
She went mad with the porter who was most apologetic .. eventually we all went back down to the ground, bags in tow to get another room.
They gave us a suite with balcolny .. very nice.
The digital safe though was locked so we called reception to tell them, the same porter came up and opened the safe with a key in seconds!
All in all this hotel is fab, staff lovely and helpful.
This is a Boutique Hotel and worthy of that status.
The room with a view is fab!
