We spent the day walking on our second day in the Lake District and used a recommended app called Lake District Walks to guide us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elterwater has a car park that National Trust members can use for free, but we couldn’t get in it, so we parked a short distance away at a cost of \u00a37.50 for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our five-mile trek took us on a triangular walk first to Skelwith Bridge where we stopped at Chesters, a vegetarian cafe, then onto Little Langdale and finally back to Ellterwater where we began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the walk was fairly easy, but there are parts that get a little steeper but we managed it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the route we saw a lot of Foxglove plants.. they seem to be prolific in these parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Near Little Langdale as we passed through a field it was full of wild flowers, something that you don’t see really in neat urban gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
