My wife booked this unknown restaurant for 4 of us based on a recommendation from a friend.<\/p>\n

Our drive along urban roads past Fairfield Hospital prepare you for a very standard looking premises, around 30-40 years old at least… possibly pavement fronted, limited parking and a sense that it is established based on word of mouth.<\/p>\n

I imagined a dark, tired looking establishment with food that I would reflect on by saying it was “OK” or it was “nice”.<\/p>\n

Gosh how wrong can you be!<\/p>\n

As you turn into the signposted plot called The Pavillion you quickly check yourself to make sure you got the right place.<\/p>\n

This architect designed this estate with modern pride and passion.<\/p>\n

The building is fresh, modern, very cleverly constructed with character and grounds, signs and parking to make this one of the most pleasantly unexpected restaurants I’ve visited this year.<\/p>\n

Inside is bright, very well laid out making it feel spacious and welcoming.<\/p>\n

The menu is not bad too, but I couldn’t help feeling that that the staff, pricing and space in the main restaurant try to punch slightly above its real status.<\/p>\n

This is a fab place, the chef presents food creatively with flair and seasoning, but more veg had to be ordered to finish off the main course.<\/p>\n

Bravo to The Pavillion! I’ll be back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
