Our weekend break in Amsterdam led me to search for suitable accommodation and to find this little gem in the most perfect location in the Museum Quarter of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its location was ideal for trams and appeared central to everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I loved most about the hotel was its genuine uniqueness, lost in its own rules and character. Nothing shaped around the standard, the norm or the usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lobby was like a street, with casually dressed, friendly welcoming staff hovering over a floating desk. The encouraged online checkin meant non of this nonsense of completing forms; just keys and a quick explanation of where we were and where our room was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh and how this place exudes originality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our room on the first floor, a basic room by their standards was so cleverly laid out that you had to stand back and take note of everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sink and mirror were located in the middle of the room and the shower and toilets in separated cubicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wallpaper like a casual sketch of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee machine, chocolates, caramel Dutch waffles.. oh and a handy bag to carry around the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a safe, cooler and so much more.. and that was just in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just loved this place!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast was found on the ground floor and set out to give a casual feel with warm tones and comfortable seating… and the food fresh, really well presented and everything that you’re likely to ask for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
