On a couple of occassions we’ve been faced having to look for alternative loos when only the hose is present.<\/p>\n
Ask the tourists and many say that it’s what the locals use, as a bidet, help to wash your feet, your bottom, parts, etc!<\/p>\n
We asked our guide who suggested that it was to unblock the loo if blocked..<\/p>\n
I’m sure there is a logical explanation .. but at this point the mind can only boggle at the thought!<\/p>\n

On my return from holiday, I discovered my toilet was broken and a man from DynoRod was called.<\/p>\n
I asked him if he knew what the hose was that I had seen on my recent trip…<\/p>\n
“It’s a Douche” he said… “Very common in Asian homes”.<\/p>\n
